Acting Assistant Head - Primary

My name is Deeksha Chauhan, and I am a passionate educator and leader committed to making a meaningful difference in education. I began my career in education in 2014 and have gained experience across both IB and UK curricula. I moved to the UAE in 2019 and have been part of GEMS Education ever since. In 2021, I joined GEMS Winchester School – Dubai, where I continue to contribute to teaching, learning and school improvement as an educator and leader. With a Master’s degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Education, I bring together strong subject knowledge, a passion for teaching and a commitment to continuous professional growth.

 

I strongly believe in lifelong learning and continually seek opportunities to develop my knowledge, skills and leadership practice. I have completed the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) and the National Professional Qualification for Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC). 

 

I believe every child has the potential to succeed through high-quality teaching, high expectations and the right support. Education goes beyond academic achievement; it is about developing confident, curious and resilient learners equipped to thrive in an ever-changing world.

 

As an educator and leader, I believe in the power of collaboration and collective responsibility. I believe the most meaningful and sustainable improvement happens when people feel valued, are empowered to take ownership and work together towards a shared purpose.
