Tinisha Hall
Deputy Head of Primary
My name is Tinisha Hall, and I am delighted to be the Deputy Head of Primary at GEMS Winchester School Dubai. I completed my degree in Primary Education at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2009 and have worked in education for 16 years. I have been in middle and senior leadership for the past 10 years, including roles as Head of Year, Head of Phase and Assistant Headteacher, with a particular focus on teaching and learning, professional development and school improvement. I have worked in Dubai for the past 10 years and have been part of the GEMS family for the past five years.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to creating ambitious, inclusive and nurturing environments where every child feels known, valued and excited to learn. I believe children achieve their best when they experience high expectations alongside strong relationships, and when they are given the right balance of support, encouragement and challenge.
I am particularly passionate about the Primary years and the strong foundations they provide for a child's future. I believe that developing a love of learning from an early age is one of the greatest gifts we can give children.
I am also passionate about developing teachers and creating a culture where people feel supported, valued and inspired to continually improve. I believe that when teachers are given the opportunity to learn, collaborate and reflect on their practice, the impact is felt directly in the classroom and, most importantly, by the children we serve.
At the heart of my leadership is a commitment to developing the whole child. Every child is unique, bringing their own personality, experiences, strengths and needs. Our responsibility is to understand each child, celebrate what makes them special and provide an environment in which they can flourish academically, socially and emotionally.
My ambition is that every child leaves Primary with strong foundations for future success, a genuine love of learning and the confidence to believe in themselves and what they can achieve. I feel incredibly privileged to work alongside our children, families and staff to make this ambition a reality.
